On the 24th October 2024, Temple QMS were delighted to sponsor the CILT (UK) West Midlands Annual Conference and Dinner.
The event took place at the Jam House in St Paul’s Square, Birmingham.
The West Midlands annual conference this year discussed AI and its influence in all aspects of the CILT Communities and Forums and how we as professionals are impacted.
It was also celebrating the achievements of some of the regions longest serving members, networking, learning and sharing our skills. Also raising awareness of CILT charity Aspire.
This was a fantastic opportunity to Celebrate, collaborate and network with logistics colleagues in the iconic West Midlands venue.
The speakers included:
Artur Wlodarczyk, Transport Manager – Flow Control – HS2 Limited
Arturs research focuses on reengineering supply chains to achieve net zero. Artur is passionate about digitization and data, and seeks to utilize data-driven approaches and technology to optimize operations and reduce environmental impact across industries. He recently presented and was published at the recent LRN
George Lynch, Director of Technology and Solutions – Nash Tech
George is Nash Tech’s CTO and Head of the Technology Advisory practice and lives at the forefront of technology, regularly discussing AI, its potential applications and possible pitfalls.
Sarah Richards, Senior Logistics Manager - HS2 Limited
Sarah joined HS2 in 2015. She is Senior Logistics Manager for the HS2 project with responsibility for ensuring all deliveries meet the standards in the Act of Parliament and development of all logistics activities.
Sarah joined HS2 from consultancy and had the opportunity to support the NHS, recruitment, ports, retail, and automotive sectors. Prior to that she was Head of Business and Product Development for DHL’s automotive sector.
Her early career was in automotive working in production, supply chain, programming and packaging roles. Sarah has a masters degree in Industrial Logistics and is a Chartered Fellow of the CILT.
